My name is Sarah and I am the CEO of JensonR+. I joined the company in 2010 as part of the regulatory team and moved into the CEO role in 2015. The role of the CEO probably varies greatly in different companies so I thought that it would be good to give you a little insight into what the day in the life of the CEO at JensonR+ looks like.

I always start my day by checking my emails to see if there is anything urgent to deal with and also my to do-list to decide what I want to achieve for the day. Each day is different and I do enjoy the variety that this role brings. Some days consist largely of networking and connecting with other peer CEOs and industry leaders. Other mornings, I am reviewing budgets, discussing new projects with the team or looking at way we can improve efficiency and make processes slicker.

As we are currently working remotely, it is not possible to go and meet people but when we are in the office I try and make sure that I see how people are doing but in this virtual world, I usually have a few video calls every day with team members; checking how project are progressing and how my staff are coping with the current environment.

The thing that I love most about being the CEO is the opportunities that I can give to others to take on more responsibilities and really grow within in their role. It is great seeing people succeed and achieve things that they didn’t think were possible.

After catching up on work, I like to spend time with my family, whether that be watching my children play sport, being a taxi, cooking together or watching a film.

I find that personal development is another way that I like to unwind. I love to read the latest books and magazines. In our ever-changing world, I find that it’s important to continue to develop a competitive edge in leadership and business in addition to working on my personal development.

Over the coming the weeks I have asked my team at JensonR+ to give you an insight into their days.
