World Mental Health Day

World Mental Health Day falls on 10th October and this year, it follows the theme of “Mental Health is a universal human right”.
The focus of World Mental Health Day is to raise awareness of mental health and make changes which positively impact people’s mental health, and they are striving for us to live in a world where good mental health is available to all.

World Mental Health Day is endorsed by the Mental Health Foundation, the UK’s leading charity for everyone’s mental health. Their aim is to encourage conversation which will help destigmatise it and to offer support to those in need, particularly groups who are at greater risk from experiencing mental ill health such as:

  • Families
  • Young People
  • People with long-term health conditions

Having an awareness of your mental health, and the factors which can influence it is an important part of an overall healthy lifestyle and JensonR+ is dedicated to making sure that our team are supported with their mental health.

Our team has four Mental Health First Aiders on hand who have all been trained to support anyone who may be suffering from mental ill health, allowing team members the support that they may need when experiencing difficult times.

We’d like to say a huge thank you to our Mental Health First Aiders who help us to create a supportive and caring environment, where everyone feels able to talk openly about their mental health and wellbeing. They provide invaluable support in our workplace.

Conversations have the power to save lives, and we’re extremely proud that we now have people across the business who have been equipped with the skills and resources to support us if we need to talk.
